On Call Week.

Today I start on call for the next week. If something breaks down or there is a emergency with the hospital building systems I will be called in to fix the problem. I have 30 minutes to respond to the call.  I have on call every 5 weeks.

On call.

I am on call for 10 hours today cover for a coworker to spend time with family. Hopefully the hospital will run smooth today.

Bad weather at work yesterday.

Bad weather at work yesterday. High winds and high water on the lake in front of the hospital. Water is near the top of the lake dam, and the fountain on the lake is blowing sideways in 40 + MPH winds.

TV week.

This week I installed TVs in patient rooms. The patients were excited about the upgrade from 20 in class TVs to 32 in class HD 1080P RCA TVs. A TV is a hospital patients best friend.

   

On Call Week.

It was nice having a nice weekend after being on call for maintenance last week. The tropical storm Erica dissipated into a large rainstorm on Saturday. No major damage. Tomorrow is a new work week. There will be plenty of preventative maintenance to do.

Tropical Storm Erika

I and my fellow engineers spent Friday securing the hospital building, Checking the building roofs for lose materials, removing lose materials and trash the wind could pick up and cause damage. Fueling up the generators and vehicles with fuel. Receiving more bottles water and food, we are now hurricane ready for the season. Below is a inferred picture of hurricane charlie that took parts of the hospital roof off and did millions of dollars in damage.
